Microfabrication Process Engineer
Are you passionate about microfabrication and eager to work in a high-tech cleanroom environment? As a Microfabrication Process Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for fabrication and development of Photonic as well as MEMS chips in the MESA+ cleanroom (Nanolab UT). Flexibility in both attitude and working hours, as well as patience when handling intricate manufacturing processes are essential.
Work environment
You will be working in a shared cleanroom facility, accessible to both academics and companies. The cleanroom is a climatized dust-free laboratory, meaning that you will have to wear a special dust-free suit.
Typical but not only cleanroom processes are:
- Lithography
- Chemical vapor deposition (LPCVD, PECVD)
- Sputter deposition, evaporation
- Wet etching
- Deep reactive ion etching
- Wafer bonding
- Metrology techniques like ellipsometry, profilometry and SEM
Professional requirements:
- HBO-master’s degree in physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering or Nanotechnology
- Well-organized and focused
- Autonomous, curious and eager to learn
- Practical and pragmatic
- Cleanroom experience is a plus
- Languages: Fluent in English
