Project Manager – Integrated Photonics

Job description

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and successfully executing integrated photonics projects in various domains from consumer applications to the defense industry. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and keep all stakeholders informed about project progress.

Your key responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the development and deployment of integrated photonics projects, from concept through to delivery, ensuring they meet technical specifications, timelines, and budget constraints.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate photonic technologies into complex systems.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations, keeping all stakeholders informed of progress and any potential risks.
• Serve as the main point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of all project milestones.
• Prepare and present regular project reports and status updates to management and key stakeholders.
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and ensure that our solutions are optimized for their operational requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement of project management processes, tools, and methodologies.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a project manager in the high-tech sector
• Strong project management skills, with experience in managing schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, with an aptitude for addressing technical and operational challenges in high-stakes environments.
• Solution-oriented, resilient, and capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously

Desired skills:

• Familiarity with defense industry regulations, standards, and government procurement processes.
• Knowledge of advanced integrated photonics applications
• Speaking Dutch (or willing to learn)
